Fostex Audio Player

Playback of high resolution files such as 24bit/192kHz and DSD files using a third-party free or charged playback software often requires complicated settings and literacy, which may prevent entry users from enjoying the high quality audio. Our original “FOSTEX Audio Player” is a free software for quick and easy playback of high resolution files in combination with the new Fostex HP-A4 as well as the HP-A8C.

Windows 10 and Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) Compatibility
We have not confirmed the compatibility with Windows 10 and Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) for our USB DAC products yet. We will keep updating the compatibility status on our website.
In order to continue to use our USB DAC products, we recommend staying with the current OS for the time being.

Playbacks most of the audio files available from the internet music download stores up to PCM 24bit / 192kHz as well as DSD 5.6MHz.
The playable file types include DSF, DSDIFF, WAV, FLAC and MP3.
Runs both on Windows and MacOS.
DSD playback on Windows complies with both ASIO 2.1 (DSD native, Windows only) and DoP (DSD Audio over PCM Frames, Windows & MacOS) in 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz.
“Expand to RAM” function to playback RAM buffered files in higher audio quality
Easy creation, saving and reading of Play List
Flexible playback mode including Repeat and Shuffle

*V1.3 complies with WAV/AIFF/MP3 up to 4GB and ALAC/FLAC/DFF/FSF to 64GB
